Justin soon joined the group and recommended his friend JC Chasez, who also was a cast member on All New Mickey Mouse Club Soon, they decided to even out their sound by initially recruiting Jason Galasso as their bass singer, but sadly Jason was cut out of the band at the time they were recording their debut album, was not fond of the group’s musical direction, & said that he never ever wanted to become a teen idol in the first place. Pearlman looked through some tapes they had, and one of Justin Timberlake from The Mickey Mouse Club caught his eye. Then they both approached for more suggestions. This prompted Kirkpatrick to call Joey Fatone. Lou said that he would finance his second boy band if Chris would find other young male singers.
